From candidate space to synthesis run without a handoff

AstraIQ connects MLIP screening, thermodynamic filtering, and automated synthesis orchestration into a single closed loop. Submit a composition range, receive ranked survivors and a synthesis queue.

How the loop closes

01

Define the candidate space

Specify a composition range, crystal system constraints, and target property thresholds. AstraIQ generates the initial candidate set from a combination of known structure prototypes and enumerated compositions.

02

MLIP screening and ranking

Candidate structures are relaxed and evaluated using our fine-tuned machine-learned interatomic potentials. Formation energy, phonon stability, and target property predictions rank the field. The model flags extrapolation regimes so you know which scores are reliable.

03

Synthesis queue generation

Survivors from the screening pass are translated into synthesis protocols: precursor mix ratios, temperature profiles, atmosphere specifications. The queue feeds directly into connected synthesis hardware.

04

Automated synthesis execution

Synthesis runs execute on integrated robotic hardware. Characterization data returns to the platform and updates the model's training distribution, tightening the next screening cycle.

Integration with existing workflows

AstraIQ connects to standard synthesis hardware through an open API and supports export to common formats (CIF, VASP POSCAR, JSON) for teams with existing analysis pipelines.

Synthesis hardware API
REST API connects to solid-state synthesis platforms from major lab automation vendors. Custom hardware integrations available for early-access partners.
Data export formats
Screening results export to CIF, VASP POSCAR, and JSON. Characterization data ingests from XRD, TGA, and impedance spectroscopy in standard formats.
Materials database connections
Query and import from the Materials Project and ICSD to seed your candidate space or validate predictions against existing experimental data.

Platform access is by application

We work with a small number of R&D teams during early access. Tell us about your screening workflow.
